Can't hear you - got a carrot in my ear!

The snowman you see here was inspired by the following joke, told originally by Uncle Michael: Once there were two men. One had a carrot in his ear. The other man said to him politely, "Sir, I believe you have a carrot in your ear." The man paid no attention. He tried again, a bit louder. "Sir, you have a carrot in your ear." No response. "You have a carrot in your ear!". Finally he yelled, "YOU HAVE A CARROT IN YOUR EAR!" "Hold on a minute," came the reply "I can't hear you because I have a carrot in my ear".
