O.B.

On Monday I took my crabs back to school. It was really cold, and I was worried about how the crabs would handle the climate change, slight as it is. Well, today I went in to the biology room to take a test and I discovered that the littlest crab (yes, the cute one I asked you all to name) had died. At first I thought he was just being stubborn, but I soon realized that he wasn't coming out alive.

By the way, even though I never got around to posting anything on here, I called him "O.B." for "Old Bay". Thanks, Judy.

I disposed of him appropriately and left the classroom.

I don't take tests well when I'm sad.

My friend Genevieve called me tonight and told me that she's switching from the high school she was going to to another one. Tomorrow will be her first day there. She sounds amazingly calm on the phone, but she kept using the term "overwhelmed". If I were her, "overwhelmed" probably wouldn't even begin to describe how I'd feel. I really hope that she likes it better there.

I admire her.

I'm sorry, Lauren. If I knew O.B. better I would write a poem for him, which I seem to be doing a lot of lately.
