I went outside to escape my humid, hot jungle of a room.
Outside, the bright moon was surrounded by dark clouds lined with silver from the moon. There was one little star that I could see. Before I could even finish wishing, the clouds engulfed my little star. Was it a sign?
As I pondered this, the moon began to slip behind the mass of darkness. "No! Stay!". It didn't work. The moon retreated as well. The tree no longer had a moon shadow.
I started to walk over to a pool of rainwater that had not yet evaporated when a black streak ran past. I still do not know what it was, but I called out to it. Apparently it ignored me, and continued on into the bushes.
Then I disappeared too, into the house.
Most certainly time for bed.

Very poetic. And highly amusing too. You should write more often late at night: )
