Someone down the street has an unsecured wireless network that I am able to get a really low signal from, so I can use the internet...kind of. I have to sit in a particular corner outside. No internet when it's raining (which it usually seems to do during my free time). It's too slow for me to upload pictures, watch anything on youtube, or download music, but I can still write. Unfortunately, my free time is also very limited, so the blog won't be getting as much attention as I hoped.
Right now I have an hour break between full orchestra rehearsal and theory, so I came to the library. The librarian is being a bastard and won't let me check out any books. "You have to have a valid driver's license." "Got one." "And be 18." "If you rounded, I'd be 17. I'll even give you collateral. Just let me check out one book, please." "Sorry." (walks away) I need something to read during the weird 20 minute breaks. Practice rooms are scarce, and so dorm kids sign up for them in hour blocks. I'm not a dorm kid, nor do I have a reliable hour to reserve the room. I only need something to do for 20 minutes. Is it that much to ask for a book to read instead?
