Tree Cutting!

Today all of us piled into the 'burban and headed up to Beulah to cut a Christmas tree. Hearing that there might be snow, I decided to come prepared. I threw in a few sleds I had picked up at garage sales, snow pants, my big warm Spyder jacket, almost everything anyone would need to survive in the event that they wanted to go sledding in the Arctic. When we finally got up there, there was snow. Or at least there were traces of snow. I was afraid that if we got too close to it, the mere heat radiating off our bodies would melt it. Needless to say, I didn't need the handwarmers or the blowtorch (okay, so maybe there wasn't a blowtorch).

We finally found a tree - on the other side of the river. I'm not the most graceful soul in the world and managed to get my left foot wet trying to cross it. I've got pictures of some of the snow so I'll try to post them tomorrow (sure...).

Tonight we had our 5th annual Thanksgiving play. I went as most of our plays do; the rehearsal before the play goes better than the actual performance. There's something about a three year old running around the set and an acutal audience (two people) that seems to make my actors and actress lose their minds,er,lines.
