These are actually leftovers from last weekend. Mom had to run in to a bakery near the library downtown, so while the boys quarrled I escaped outside for a minute or two. The new library is so beautiful. Someday I'm going to just spend an entire week there, both inside and outside. And the snow just makes it even more magical...

I love the library as well. It's not beautiful in the way buildings usually are, I don't think, but all the glass and metal lends a kind of elegance. Have you ever been all the way to the top of the glass elevator?
The library isn't "beautiful" in the common sense of the word. What makes it beautiful is its so called ugliness. To me, its architectural style screams Pueblo.
I've never been to the top, and I've only been it it about twice. One time I was really excited about going all the way up to the top floor...until the elevator doors opened. Leaning against the back corner was a scary homeless man who looked intimidating. He stared at me and I stared back, still standing, frozen. I might have stood there petrified all day if the elevator door hadn't closed.
